The Aeronautical Initiation Certificate (BIA) is a French
diploma jointly issued by the Ministry of Ecology,
Energy, Sustainable Development and of the Sea,
in charge of Transport, and by National Education.

It promulgates a general culture
in the field of aeronautics and
takes place within the framework of an agreement signed between a flying club
and a school.
It includes a theoretical initiation at
school and practical initiation in a flying club.
Holders of a BIA can obtain scholarships by contacting their flying club.
